Bedroom Games for Couples: 15 Games to Play in Bed With Actual Rules
Most lists of games to play in bed are a list of moods. This is a list of rules. Every game below has a setup, a turn order, a way to win or lose, and a version for four levels — mild, spicy, hot and extreme — so the same game works on a Tuesday and on an anniversary. They come from our TikTok series bed games with actual rules, picked by what people saved and sent to each other, and rewritten here in full.
None of them needs props. A phone timer helps for five of them. All of them need two adults who have already said yes to playing — that's the one rule every game shares.
How to choose tonight's game
- Two minutes, no energy: The Secret Menu, The Kept Secret. One whisper each, lights off.
- Something to laugh at first: The Recipe, The Stand-In, The Lost Turn.
- A timer and a rule: The Lullaby (5 min), The Mirror Rule (5 min), The Swapped Chair (10 min), The Quiet Hands (20 min).
- A dare game with a twist: The Single Veto, The Dare Ladder, The Hidden Notes, The Jukebox.
- Talking that ends somewhere: The Three Words, The Whisper Chain.

- The Hidden Notesnarrative
Hide three notes in the bedroom, each one with a dare inside.
- The Three Wordsconstraint
Every question tonight gets answered in exactly three words.
- The Single Vetocurrency
Each of you gets one veto tonight, used on any dare, no reason needed.
- The Lost Turnlose
Laugh during a dare and you lose it — it goes straight to the other one.
- The Mirror Ruleconstraint
For five minutes, whatever you do, the other one has to copy it exactly.
- The Kept Secretnarrative
You each say one thing you never told and the other one may only listen.
- The Dare Ladderbidding
You name a dare, then a bigger one, and so on until someone says stop.
- The Swapped Chairrole
For ten minutes you each play the other one's usual role in bed.
- The Quiet Handsconstraint
For twenty minutes nobody speaks. Everything is said with your hands.
- The Lullabytimer
One of you talks the other one towards sleep for five minutes and may say absolutely anything.
- The Recipechallenge
They give you three ingredients and ten minutes. Whatever you make, they have to taste it.
Four levels, explained once
Every page has the same four levels. Mild is the version you could play on the first night in a new relationship. Spicy adds touch and intent. Hot is the version that assumes the evening is going somewhere. Extreme is the one you'd only name out loud to someone you've been with a while. Pick the level before you start, together, and don't change it mid-game — changing levels is what the next night is for.
Playing them with the TwoNite game
These are house rules. They sit on top of any dare game, including ours: the TwoNite dare game runs in the browser on one phone, each of you picks privately first, and the game only plays what you both chose. The Single Veto, The Lost Turn and The Jukebox were written with that in mind — a source of dares you've both already agreed to, and a rule that makes it a game.
FAQ
Do we need anything to play these bedroom games?
No. A phone timer for the timed ones, paper for The Hidden Notes, a speaker for The Jukebox. Everything else is the two of you.
Are these games for new couples or long-term couples?
Both — that's what the four levels are for. New couples play mild and spicy; couples who've been together for years usually go straight to the level they've been circling for a while.
Which one should we start with?
The Secret Menu. It takes two minutes, nobody has to answer anything, and it tells you which level the next game should be.
