The Secret Menu
Part 66 · narrative
The rule: Each of you names one thing you've never asked for. Whisper it. No answers needed tonight.
The Secret Menu is one of the bed games with actual rules from our TikTok series (part 66). It needs two adults, one bed and nothing else. Below: how to set it up, how a round goes, how to play it at four levels from mild to extreme, the mistakes that break it, and three variations for the second night.
Setup
Lights low, phones away, both of you already in bed. No paper, no app, no props. Agree on one rule before you start: whatever gets whispered tonight is not discussed, judged or acted on until tomorrow at the earliest.
How to play
- Decide who goes first. The coin flip, the older one, the one who made dinner — anything works.
- Player one leans in and whispers one thing they have never asked for. One sentence. No explaining, no softening.
- Player two says nothing. Not "really?", not "me too". Silence is the whole point.
- Swap. Player two whispers theirs.
- That's the game. Turn the light off. The menu stays open until morning.
Four levels
- Mild: Whisper something small: a way you'd like to be held, a word you'd like to hear more often, a place you'd like to be kissed.
- Spicy: Whisper something you've thought about more than once but never said out loud — a mood, a pace, a place in the house.
- Hot: Whisper the thing you actually want tonight, in plain words. The other one still can't answer, which is what makes it bearable.
- Extreme: Whisper the one you've never said to anyone. Then add a second sentence: what you'd want them to do about it next week.
What breaks it
- Answering. Even a laugh is an answer. If one of you breaks the silence, the other gets a second whisper for free.
- Whispering a complaint instead of a wish. "You never…" is not on the menu. "I'd like…" is.
- Playing it on a night when you're already arguing. This game needs a calm room.
Variations
- The written menu: each of you writes it on a slip instead of whispering, and you swap slips. Read, fold, keep.
- The three-course version: three whispers each, mild to hot, one per night across a weekend.
- The order-up: on the following night, one of you may "order" one item from the other's menu. No negotiation.
The matched list
Every game on this page assumes one thing: you both already said yes to it. If you want the version where that happens on the screen first — each of you picks privately, the game only plays what you both chose — that's the TwoNite dare game. It runs in the browser on one phone, no account. The Secret Menu works as a house rule on top of it.

FAQ
How long does The Secret Menu take?
Under two minutes of play, and about one night of thinking about it afterwards. It's the shortest game in the series and the one that gets talked about most.
What if one of us can't think of anything?
Use the smallest honest thing: "I'd like you to say my name more." The game isn't about size, it's about saying it.
Is it safe to play if we're not great at talking about this?
That's who it was written for. Nobody has to respond, so nobody has to get it right.
