The Hidden Notes
Part 60 · narrative
The rule: Hide three notes in the bedroom, each one with a dare inside. Found notes get played, in order.
The Hidden Notes is one of the bed games with actual rules from our TikTok series (part 60). It needs two adults, one bed and nothing else. Below: how to set it up, how a round goes, how to play it at four levels from mild to extreme, the mistakes that break it, and three variations for the second night.
Setup
Three slips of paper, one pen, ten minutes alone in the bedroom for the hider. The seeker waits outside. Each note has one dare written on it, nothing else — no name, no number.
How to play
- The hider writes three dares, one per note, and hides them in the bedroom. Under a pillow, inside a book, in a sleeve.
- The seeker comes in and has five minutes to search. Found notes are stacked in the order they're found, unread.
- When time's up, the seeker reads the first note aloud and the dare is played — by the seeker.
- Then the second, then the third. Order is the order they were found. Unfound notes stay hidden.
- Next night, swap roles. Unfound notes from tonight are still in play.
Four levels
- Mild: Dares are soft: a slow kiss somewhere named, a compliment said twice, one minute of being held.
- Spicy: Dares involve the hider: "kiss me where you found this", "tell me what you were thinking when you looked under the pillow".
- Hot: Dares escalate by note. The hider writes the mildest first and hides it easiest; the third note is the one that takes five minutes to find.
- Extreme: One of the three notes is blank. If the seeker finds it, the hider does the dare of their choice — on the seeker, immediately, before the next note is read.
What breaks it
- Reading the notes before time's up. Stack them face-down.
- Hiding one somewhere it will never be found. The game needs at least two found.
- Writing dares you'd only do on a very good night. Write for this one.
Variations
- The house version: notes hidden across the whole flat, search time doubled, dares still played in bed.
- The week of notes: one note hidden per day, found notes saved up and played on Friday in order.
- The ransom note: the hider cuts the dare into three pieces and hides each piece separately. All three must be found to play it.
The matched list
Every game on this page assumes one thing: you both already said yes to it. If you want the version where that happens on the screen first — each of you picks privately, the game only plays what you both chose — that's the TwoNite dare game. It runs in the browser on one phone, no account. The Hidden Notes works as a house rule on top of it.

FAQ
What if the seeker finds none of the notes?
The hider reveals one, the seeker plays it, and the other two stay hidden for next time. The house wins.
Do the dares have to be sexual?
No. The best third note is often something the hider has wanted to say for weeks.
How long does The Hidden Notes take?
Five minutes to hide, five to search, then as long as three dares take. Budget an hour; it rarely stays at twenty minutes.
