The Recipe
Part 18 · challenge
The rule: They give you three ingredients and ten minutes. Whatever you make, they have to taste it. Presentation counts for nothing.
The Recipe is one of the bed games with actual rules from our TikTok series (part 18). It needs two adults, one bed and nothing else. Below: how to set it up, how a round goes, how to play it at four levels from mild to extreme, the mistakes that break it, and three variations for the second night.
Setup
One of you stays in bed. The other goes to the kitchen with a phone timer. The one in bed names three ingredients that are actually in the house. Nothing from a jar labelled "do not eat".
How to play
- The taster names three ingredients. Any three. Peanut butter, lime, cold rice is a legal recipe.
- The cook has ten minutes. The timer starts when they leave the bedroom.
- The cook returns with one plate, one glass, one spoon — whatever the thing is.
- The taster tastes. A real mouthful, not a lick.
- The taster scores it out of ten. The score is final and decides who cooks tomorrow.
Four levels
- Mild: Three ingredients, one plate, eyes open. Dessert-leaning combos are the easy way in.
- Spicy: The taster is blindfolded and has to guess the three ingredients before scoring. Each right guess is a kiss.
- Hot: The cook decides where the tasting happens — it doesn't have to be from a spoon. Nothing hot, nothing sticky on the sheets you care about.
- Extreme: The taster picks the ingredients and the cook picks the body part. Ten minutes still applies. Shower after is part of the game.
What breaks it
- Naming four ingredients. Three. Salt and pepper don't count, everything else does.
- Going over ten minutes. Late food is scored out of five.
- Making something you'd actually serve guests. Presentation counts for nothing, so stop plating.
Variations
- The mystery bag: the taster puts three things in a bag without looking at the cook's face.
- The swap: both of you cook at the same time, in the same ten minutes, from the same three ingredients. Taste each other's.
- The breakfast rule: play it at 7 a.m. with whatever's left in the fridge. Different game, same rules.
The matched list
Every game on this page assumes one thing: you both already said yes to it. If you want the version where that happens on the screen first — each of you picks privately, the game only plays what you both chose — that's the TwoNite dare game. It runs in the browser on one phone, no account. The Recipe works as a house rule on top of it.

FAQ
Does The Recipe need real cooking skill?
None. The game is funnier when the cook has no idea what they're doing. The score is for courage, not technique.
What if one of us has allergies?
The taster names the ingredients, so they control what goes in. The cook adds nothing that wasn't named.
Why is this a bed game?
Because the tasting happens in bed, and because the ten minutes apart is the part everyone underestimates.
